Juvenile Related information: Per the Orange County Juvenile Records Releasing Order, law enforcement must adhere to the rules outlined regarding any case containing juvenile information. An event log item, or call for service, print out is public information, with exception to any information not releasable per the California Public Records Act.
We invite any member of the public to review the log during business hours. The Public log is available for thirty (30) days only. Afterwards, all requests for a copy of an event log item must be submitted using theRequest for Release of Records Information form.
Any public request for multiple event log items must be reviewed on a case-by-case process. This is to assure that voluminous requests are being requested within a reasonable time period, staffing is not adversely effected, and that there is a significant need for the request. Payment for the time and research for the request will be required before the request is complied with.

In the event your vehicle has been repossessed, the finance company (legal owner) will advise you to respond to the local law enforcement agency to pay a repossession verification fee to the law enforcement agency. An administrative verification process is conducted by the local law enforcement agency to ensure that the vehicle was properly reported to Westminster Police Department at the time of the repossession.
What do you need? Be prepared to bring your vehicle information, picture identification, and the date and time your vehicle was repossessed.

Westminster Police Department encourages that if you own a bicycle, you take the time to register your bicycle with our department.
Why should you register? First, it’s the law. Second, in the event your bicycle is stolen, your registered bicycle information is maintained in our data base and this allows the police to send notification statewide that your bicycle has been stolen. This helps increase the opportunities of a successful recovery. Be prepared to bring your bicycle so the serial numbers can be verified.
