Lieutenant Ron Weber, Sr.

On June 6th, 2003 Lieutenant Ron Weber Sr. passed away at his home after a lengthy work-related illness. He is survived by his wife Billie, son Ron Jr., daughter Billie and son Jeffrey.

Ron Weber Sr. was born on November 23rd, 1953, in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Pacifica High School in the City of Garden Grove, and later attended California State University at Fullerton, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree.

Lieutenant Weber graduated from the Golden West Police Academy in 1979, and was hired by the Westminster Police Department. During his 24-year career, Lieutenant Weber worked as a Patrol Officer, Narcotics Detective, SWAT Team member and supervisor, Patrol Sergeant, Narcotics Sergeant, TARGET Sergeant (gang team), Special Investigations Sergeant, Watch Commander and Detective Commander. In 2001, he was awarded the Westminster Police Department’s Medal of Merit for his life-saving efforts on a traffic accident victim, and was voted Supervisor of the Year by his peers in 2002.
