REPORT A CRIME
Online Crime Reporting You can now report a non-emergency crime using our Online Citizen Police Reporting System. There are certain restrictions as to what types of reports can be submitted using our online report writing system. Using the WPD online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. At this time, there are no alternative languages besides English being offered for the system.

False Alarm Payments When a business or a resident calls in a false alarm, it results in police response that may have otherwise been needed elsewhere in the community. False alarms comprise 98% of all actual alarms where crimes are occurring. City ordinance was enacted to educate and reduce the number of false alarms by establishing a fee structure for each false alarm response. Annual renewals of alarm permits are required in the City of Westminster. You may apply for a new or renewed permit, as well as make a payment for a false alarm billing notice. If you feel you were improperly billed, you may contact the False Alarm Reduction Program representative before making the payment. You may make a payment online or by mail by following the instructions provided to you in the billing letter. If you received a payment letter, our processing company mail distribution center is located in San Francisco, CA.
DUI / Emergency Response Fee An emergency response fee may be charged if you were driving under the influence and cause a traffic collision. Other emergency response fees may be charged for incidents causing police services to respond, ultimately impacting valuable staffing and resources.
