West Area Command

The Westminster Police Department works under an Area Command service delivery model.  We have divided the City into two distinct geographic areas (West and East).  Each Area is monitored by a police Commander who is held accountable for understanding the issues and concerns unique to their service area.  This includes developing strategies and directing resources based on  Intelligence-led policing to solve problems for our citizens.  The objective of this command structure is to aggressively address crime issues and improve quality of life through Community Oriented/ Problem Oriented Policing.

Productive, Accountable, Competent, and Efficient (P.A.C.E.) police service is what we strive to provide each and every hour of each and every day.

Commander Cameron Knauerhaze is the West Area Commander and can be reached at 714-548-3791.

The West Command is comprised of the communities west of Beach Boulevard, south of Garden Grove Boulevard, east of Valley View Street, and north of Edinger Boulevard
