In 2009 the Governor declared a drought across the State of California. If we don’t conserve water for the long term the state could be in a serious situation in the future.
Water Conservation Ordinance No. 2449was adopted by the Mayor and City Council on May 27, 2009 to maximize water use efficiency for the long term. The Ordinance places restrictions on landscape watering hours and duration, regulates the washing of vehicles and hard surfaces, and mandates the obligation to fix leaks, breaks, and malfunctions in a timely manner. The City's goal is to conserve water for the long term and to help residents lower water bills.
