Tree Education Committee

Purpose:

To help promote reforesting the city responsibly and in conformance with the adopted Street Forestry Policy (Title 12.12 of the Westminster Municipal Code), to include forums, brochures, Arbor Day activities, etc. (WMC Section 12.12.170)

Organization:

A ten member committee consisting of five regular and five alternate members, with each Council Member nominating one regular and one alternate member that shall be approved by a majority vote of the City Council. The corresponding alternate member would vote in meetings only in the absence of the regular member. Three members constitute a quorum.

Meetings:

Meets on an “as needed” basis.
