Great news! Our Spring newsletter is now available! Spring class registration is now OPEN, enroll for a class in person or online. Many classes are starting at the beginning of April, so enroll today! Don't forget to check out our variety of sports, science, and art Summer Camps from June through August!

State of the City
Join us for the 2026 State of the City! Registration is now open for Westminster's State of the City – returning for the first time in years.
We invite you to join us for a luncheon on Wednesday, May 6 highlighting the City's progress, key initiatives, and vision for the future of Westminster.
Date: Wednesday, May 6, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Westminster Rose Center | 14140 All American Way, Westminster, CA 92683
Free parking in the Civic Center Structure.
Tickets:
Early Bird: $40 plus processing fees through April 20
Regular: $50 plus processing fees through May 1
Lunch is included. Space is limited to 150 guests.

Black April Remembrance Ceremony
Join the City of Westminster at Sid Goldstein Freedom Park for our annual Black April Remembrance Ceremony.
Date & Time: Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
The commemorative program will include remarks from the Mayor, City Council and other elected officials, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, and cultural performances.

Community Garden Ribbon Cutting
Join us at Cherry St. Community Garden for a special community gathering to cut the ribbon and open this highly anticipated space.
Come enjoy a beautiful afternoon exploring the garden, connecting with gardeners, and celebrating the first community garden right here in Westminster.

Recreation Program
Spring After School Parks Program
Looking for a fun, safe, and educational place for your kiddos after school? Check out our FREE Parks Program for youth ages 6-14! Drop-in daily, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., to enjoy recreational activities, games, arts & crafts, sports and homework time. See you there!

Mobile Rec Program
Our Mobile Rec team will be rolling to different parks throughout Westminster. Follow us on social media for park locations, days, and times!
Sigler Park Splash Pad
Celebrate your special occasion at the Sigler Park Splash Pad! It's the coolest place for your next birthday party, play date, family reunion, summer holidays, or even a Summer Camp field trip! Reserve for your private party today!
Rental fee for private use of the Splash Pad is $200; $180/Westminster Resident Rate. Fee includes 2 hours (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) of exclusive use of the splash pad with two staff attendants for up to 50 guests.

Weekends: May 23 to June 7

Youth Committee Applications are NOW OPEN
The Westminster City Council is currently seeking qualified applicants to serve on the 2026/27 Youth Committee. If you care about your community and wish to offer input to your City Council on behalf of youth in the City of Westminster, this may be the opportunity that you have been waiting for.
Qualifications:
- Between the ages of 12-18
- Attend a school district serving the community of Westminster
- Reside in the City of Westminster

Completed applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2026

Cherry St. Community Garden
Let's grow together! We are now accepting in-person applications for the Cherry St. Community Garden. Open to the public, with priority given to Westminster residents. Apply at the Community Services & Recreation Building – 8200 Westminster Blvd.
Garden Plots Available:
4' x 4' – $50 annual fee
Community members can reserve and maintain their own garden space!

Many parks throughout Westminster are receiving well-deserved improvements this year! Watch for construction at your neighborhood parks, and stay tuned for upgraded amenities.

Westminster Family Resource Center
The Westminster Family Resource Center offers a variety of free services for families with children under 18. The center will be hosting various events this spring! Visit the WFRC at 7200 Plaza St. at Sigler Park or call (714) 903-1331.
The Healthy Heroes Club
The Westminster Family Resource Center is excited to introduce a new and engaging spring program for the kids – the Healthy Heroes Club!
This free drop-in program is designed to empower youth with fun, interactive lessons that promote healthy choices, safety awareness, and positive habits. Each week will feature a different topic that helps build the skills they need to stay healthy and safe while having fun with friends in a supportive environment.

- April 27: Sunscreen and Water Safety
