The Summer Reading Challenge kicks off on June 15th! The theme this year is Plant a Seed, Read. While you are at the library, you can check out the Westminster Library's seed collection. Adults 18 and over can take home up to three packets of seeds per month!

Totally Untidy Toddlers – Wednesday, June 17 at 10:30 AM. Join us for a fun-filled session where your little ones can explore, get messy, and learn through play.
Wonderful Wednesdays: All Ages Coloring – Wednesday, June 17 at 3:30 PM. Let's have fun with coloring! All materials are provided. All ages welcome.
Play & Learn – Fridays, June 19 & 26 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. Join us for open play! Play and social interaction are a great way for our littlest patrons to learn essential concepts.
Read to a Dog – Monday, June 22 from 3:30 – 4:30 PM. Practice your reading skills with a furry new friend! Bring your own book or use one of ours! Read to a Dog meets in the library programs room.
Outdoor Water Play: Ocean Themed – Wednesday, June 24 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM: Dive into the fun with our ocean-themed activities, featuring a water table, painting, bubbles, and so much more. Fun for all ages!
Wonderful Wednesdays: Diamond Art Keychain – Wednesday, June 24 from 3:30 – 4:30 PM: Decorate your own plant-themed keychain with little jewels! Sticker art available for younger kids. All ages welcome. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
Programs for Families:
LEGO Club – Fridays from 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Come play with our LEGO and DUPLO bricks or build amazing structures with our KEVA planks. We provide the materials; you provide the creativity. Fun for the whole family.
Summer Reading Kickoff – Monday, June 15 at 3:00 PM: Enjoy crafts for Adults, Teens, and Children. Be sure to catch the performance by Best Bubble Parties at 3:30 PM and experience the enchanting world of bubbles!
Doodlebugs Animal Show – Monday, June 22 at 11:00 AM: Learn about a variety of small animals in this interactive live animal presentation.
Programs for Adults:
Fiber Arts Group – Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Do you knit or crochet? Or would you like some help learning? Bring your own projects. All fiber arts welcome! This group is open to all levels. Some supplies provided.
Drop In Tech Help – Thursdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Need help with your phone or computer? This program is offered as walk-in only, first come, first served.
Record Club – Monday, June 9 from 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Join us on the 2nd Monday of the month at Westminster Library for Record Club. Tired of endless streaming? Come in and share your favorite tunes on Vinyl or CD. Light refreshments will be provided.
Adult Book Group – Tuesday, June 24 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Join us for a lively discussion at the Westminster Library Book Group. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of the month. This month we'll discuss An Immense World by Ed Yong. Limited copies of the book are available for checkout at the service desk.
Adult Craft: Clay Sunflower – Saturday, June 27 at 3:00 PM: Adults are invited to join art instructor Claudia as she walks participants through creating a clay sunflower.

Teen Craft: Birdhouse Painting – Thursday, June 18 at 1:00 PM. Drop by the library to paint a birdhouse. All materials provided.
Teen Summer Book Club – Thursday, June 25 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM: Escape the summer sun with a good book and a fun craft! We'll be reading Truly Devious, in which a new student at the elite Ellingham Academy is determined to solve a decades-long cold case. While we chat, we'll be painting watercolor bookmarks.
Teen Volunteer Orientation – Wednesdays, June 3 and June 10 at 4:00 PM: Want to volunteer at the library? We are recruiting! Current opportunities are for Library Helpers, Summer Reading Helpers, and Teen Advisory Board (TAB) Members. All volunteers must attend an orientation prior to volunteering.
