Summer 2026 Newsletter & Recreation Guide
It's a Star Spangled Summer! Our Summer newsletter is now available! Summer class registration is now OPEN in person or online! There's still time to enroll in one of our exciting sports, science, or arts Summer Camps running through August!

Contract Classes: Karate for Kids
In this introductory class, kids will learn coordination, confidence, respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. Study under 2000's Hall of Fame Inductee, Master Gary Pitts, a Black Belt in Shoto Kan & Shito-Ryu Karate. Sign up now! No uniform required!
Classes meet every Wednesday, August 5 – August 26, from 4:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Ages 3-14.
2026 Movies & Music – Summer Concerts
Continue enjoying a Star Spangled Summer and join us in the Civic Center Sunken Garden on Thursdays in August for fun, family-friendly concerts right in the heart of the community!
Concerts | Activities start at 5:30 p.m., Concerts start at 6:30 p.m.
- Thursday, August 6* – The Brightsiders (90's – 2000's Rock)
- Thursday, August 13 – "Tiki & Tunes" with Surf City Allstars (Beach Boys Tribute)
- Thursday, August 20 – Kelly Boyz Band (Country, Rock, Pop)
*In collaboration with the Westminster Police Department's National Night Out featuring Safety Day!
Food trucks, giveaways, activities, and more are expected at each event. Let's make memories together under the stars with great music and even better company.

Summer Parks Program
Our FREE Summer Parks Program wraps up this week! Now through August 7, youth ages 6-14 can enjoy sports, games, crafts, and more!

The Mobile Rec program is popping up this week and rolling to a park near you! Our Mobile Rec team will travel to different parks during the summer offering youth ages 6-14 fun games, cool crafts, and engaging outdoor activities. Please keep your eye on our social media pages for locations, dates, and times.

Tony Lam Park Pickleball Courts Now Open!
Grab your paddle and hit the courts! The new Tony Lam Park Pickleball Courts are now open and free for everyone to enjoy.

Sigler Park Open Field Days
The Sigler Park Soccer Field will be open for free public use on Tuesdays, August 4, August 11, and August 18 from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Come practice your soccer skills and play a game with friends and family! Stay tuned for more days to follow.
Sigler Park Splash Pad
The Sigler Park Splash Pad is open for the season!
Sigler Park Splash Pad | 7200 Plaza St.
Daily: Now through September 7
Public Hours: 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
There's still time to reserve your spot for your next birthday party, play date, or even a Summer Camp field trip! Reservation dates are limited – book your private party today! Rental fee for private use of the Splash Pad is $180/Westminster Resident Rate; $200/Non-Resident Rate. Fee includes 2 hours (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) of exclusive use of the Splash Pad with two staff attendants for up to 50 guests.
