August is a month of transition as we say good-bye to summer and get ready to go back to school. All our regular storytimes are back. Join us for a graduation for those Kindergarten Readiness storytime attendees starting kindergarten this year on August 6th! We are proud to host the Sensory Dance Party every Wednesday at 5:30 PM for those who may have difficulty sitting through a traditional storytime.

Sensory Dance Party – Every Wednesday in August at 5:30 PM. Expect stories, music, movement, and different ways to participate. Especially designed for sensory seekers 3-8 who might have trouble sitting through a traditional storytime, but all kids and their families are invited to this party!
Kindergarten Readiness Graduation – Thursday, August 6 at 10:30 AM. Join us for a very special graduation-themed story time! Kids can make and decorate a graduation cap to take home! No registration required. While supplies last. Best for children aged 3-5 and their caregivers.
Programs for Children:
End of Summer Glow Party – Saturday, August 1 at 10:30 AM. Celebrate with glow-in-the-dark necklaces, black-light temporary tattoos, and glowing decorations! We'll dance to kid-friendly music and provide some light snacks.
Totally Untidy Toddlers – Wednesday, August 19 at 10:30 AM. Join us for a fun-filled session where your little ones can explore, get messy, and learn through play. Dress for the mess and bring a change of clothes!
Play & Learn – Fridays, August 7, 14, & 21 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM. Join us for open play! Play and social interaction are a great way for our littlest patrons to learn essential concepts.
Programs for Families:
LEGO Club – Fridays from 3:00 – 4:00 PM: Come play with our LEGO and DUPLO bricks or build amazing structures with our KEVA planks. We provide the materials; you provide the creativity. Fun for the whole family.
Family Games – Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 PM. Join us for family-friendly games from Charades to video games and more!
Programs for Adults:
Fiber Arts Group – Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Do you knit or crochet? Or would you like some help learning? Bring your own projects. All fiber arts welcome! This group is open to all levels. Some supplies provided.
Drop In Tech Help – Thursdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Need help with your phone or computer? This program is offered as walk-in only, first come, first served.
Adult Book Group – Tuesday, August 26 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Join us for a lively discussion at the Westminster Library Book Group. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of the month. This month we will discuss The God of the Woods by Liz Moore. Limited copies of the book are available for checkout at the service desk.
