2025 Movies & Music - Movie Nights & Summer Concerts
The City of Westminster Movies & Music series is back! Join us in the Civic Center Sunken Gardens on Thursdays in July and August for a fun, family-friendly celebration of film and sound right in the heart of our community!
Movie Nights: Activities start at 6:30pm, Movie starts at 8:15pm
This week's feature: Thursday, July 24-Moana 2
Tasty eats & treats: Henry's Chicken & Waffle, Randy's Spammy's, Haole Boys Shave Ice, and Miches Fresca King

Back to School Health & Wellness Fair
The City of Westminster in collaboration with CalOptima will be hosting the Back-to-School Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, August 2nd 9am-1pm at the Westminster Civic Center. Get ready for the new school year with FREE backpacks, school supplies, vision exams, dental services, sports physicals, haircuts and more (while supplies last).

Summer Recreation
Our FREE Summer Parks Program is the place to be! With tons of activities and fun to go around, we're set to give you the best summer break ever! Now through August 8th, youth ages 6-14 year old can enjoy sports, games, crafts and more!

2025 Fall Festival Vendor & Entertainment Recruitment
Calling all Vendors, Entertainers, and Community Supporters! We want you for our Fall Festival! We're gearing up for our annual Fall Festival at the Westminster Civic Center (8200 Westminster Blvd) from Thursday, September 25 to Sunday, September 28, 2025, and we're looking for amazing vendors, entertainers, and sponsors to make it the best one yet!

Cherry St. Community Garden
Let's Grow together! Now accepting in person applications for the Cherry St. Community Garden. Open to the public, with priority given to Westminster residents. Apply at the Community Service Building - 8200 Westminster Blvd.
Garden Plots available:
4' x 4' - $50 annual fee
4' x 8' - $100 annual fee
Community members can reserve and maintain their own garden space!
Splash Pad - Sigler Park, 7200 Plaza St.
The wait is over, the Sigler Park Splash Pad is now open! There's still time to reserve your spot for your next birthday party, play date, or even a Summer Camp field trip! Reservations dates are limited, book your private party today!
Opening Hours:
Private Reservation Hours: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Public Hours: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Open Daily: From now until September 1st
Parks & Playground Improvement Projects
Many parks throughout Westminster are getting well-deserved improvements this year! Keep your eye out for construction at your neighborhood parks, then stay tuned for new and improved amenities.

Bowling Green Park - Construction is complete and new playground is OPEN. Enjoy the "Zipping Active Adventures!"
Westminster Village Park - Construction is complete and new playground is OPEN. Enjoy the "Warm Nautical Vibes!"
Bolsa Chica Park - Playground construction scheduled to begin week of July 21st, expected completion Winter 2025
Community Garden at Cherry St. - Construction in progress, expected completion Summer 2025!
Sigler Park - New soccer field construction is in progress, expected completion Fall 2025
