Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Join us at the ribbon cutting ceremony for our brand-new playground, featuring "Sea Loving Dreams" at Bolsa Chica Park. From tall towers to swings, this ocean adventure themed playground has something for all ages.

Be among the first to experience the excitement and dive into fun right here in Westminster!

Tony Lam Park Outreach

Veterans Lawn Signs

The City of Westminster is proud to honor Veterans for their service! Veterans - pick up your "Proud Veteran" yard sign now through November 7th (while supplies last) at the Community Services Building.

Holiday Happenings

Are you ready for some Winter fun? Join us for our annual Holiday Happenings! Stay warm with these festive activities and bring your friends and family to make unforgettable memories.

Tree Lighting

The City of Westminster is hosting our annual Tree Lighting ceremony on Monday, December 1, 2025, in the Westminster Civic center. This event will feature various entertainment performances, photos with Santa, activities, food for purchase, and the lighting of our tree!

Breakfast with Santa

Santa is making a special trip to Westminster to delight and entertain at this traditional event. The cost is $15.00 and includes breakfast, crafts, and a stocking for each child. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All family members in attendance must be pre-registered. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited. No walk-in registration will be accepted at the door.

Santa on the Go

Ho, Ho, Ho! Santa is on the Go! Santa is on his way to Westminster! He will be making a special appearance at these Westminster parks for some holiday fun and pictures. Visit with Santa, plus enjoy holiday crafts, treats, and activities!

Fall After School Parks Program

Looking for a fun, safe and educational place for your kiddos after school? Check out our FREE Parks Program for youth ages 6-14! Drop-in daily, Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:00pm, to enjoy recreational activities, games, arts & crafts, sports and homework time. See you there!

The After School Parks Program will be closed Tuesday, November 11. Follow our Mobile Rec to join in the fun, outdoor activities and themed crafts on Veteran's Day!

Thanksgiving Week Recreation Programs

Join us for the upcoming Thanksgiving Break at Sigler Park! Enjoy a variety of themed activities, including crafts, games, sports and exciting contests. Participants must bring their own lunches and water bottle each day.

Cherry St. Community Garden

Let's grow together! Now accepting in person applications for the Cherry St. Community Garden. Open to the public, with priority given to Westminster residents. Apply at the Community Service Building - 8200 Westminster Blvd.

Garden Plots available:

4' x 4' - $50 annual fee

4' x 8' - $100 annual fee

Community members can reserve and maintain their own garden space!

Father Leadership & Engagement Group

Join our 10-week Father Leadership & Engagement Program and connect with other dads in your community! This series will help fathers recognize their strengths, build reference, and learn practical tools to improve family health and relationships.

Classes are held at Westminster Family Resource Center every Tuesday through December 9 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Empower yourself and strengthen your family - register today!
