Westminster Library is spreading some Holiday Cheer this December. Come hear Harpist Tiffany Wu, decorate your own holiday cookie, and get into some holiday-themed crafts for all ages on December 15th. While you are at the library, check out our new Baby Lapsit storytime for kids 0-2. End the year with some Noon Year’s Eve fun for the family as you count down to 12:00 noon balloon drop on New Year’s Eve!

New! Baby Lapsit Storytime – Mondays at 11:00 AM: Starting in December, babies in caregivers’ laps will experience their first group interactions and enjoy books, nursery rhymes, songs, and fingerplays. Newborn to age 2.

Programs for Children:

Kid Builder Activities – Friday, December 5 at 10:30 AM: Join us on the first Friday of each month for a fun-filled learning experience! Together with First 5 Orange County, we will offer activates that support your child's developmental milestones. This month’s focus: Social, emotional, and communication skills.

Rubber Duck Cosplay – Wednesday, December 10 at 3:30 PM: We’ll provide the duck for you to decorate and the crafting supplies; just bring your imagination!

Homework Help - Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM while school is in session: Students from 1st grade to middle school can ask for live homework help from our friendly Teen Advisory Board tutors!

Programs for Families:

LEGO Club – Saturday, December 13 at 2:00 PM: Come play with our LEGO and DUPLO bricks or build amazing structures with our KEVA planks.

Holiday Cheer – Monday, December 15 at 5:00 PM: Celebrate the season with an evening of holiday cheer! Enjoy a live harp performance by Tiffany Wu, festive crafts, and cookie decorating for the whole family.

Noon Year’s Eve – Wednesday, December 31 at 11:30 AM: Enjoy New Year’s Eve themed crafts followed by a countdown & balloon drop at 11:59am.

Programs for Adults:

Fiber Arts Group – Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Do you knit or crochet? Or would you like some help learning? Bring your own projects. All fiber arts welcome! This group is open to all levels. Some supplies provided.

Drop In Tech Help – Tuesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 PM: Need help with your phone or computer? This program is offered as walk-in only, first come, first served.

Budget and Book Workshop: Thursday, December 4 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM: Join the County of Orange Budget & Finance Office for a community workshop series that offers a behind-the scenes look at how your County budget works.

Holiday Tree Book Folding Craft – Monday, December 8 at 4:00 PM: Book folding is a fun and easy way to upcycle old books. Join us and give an old book a new life as a holiday tree! First come, first served. This program is intended for Adults 18+.

Adult Book Group – Tuesday, December 23 at 1:00 PM: Come join us for a discussion of The Small Things Like these by Claire Keegan. Limited copies are available at the front desk.

Programs for Teens:

Teen Craft: Book Bedazzling – Saturday, December 13 at 3:00 PM: Bring your favorite book and decorate the cover with rhinestones!
