General Services

The Senior Center’s staff is available to provide information, referral services and answer questions concerning senior activities and services. Volunteers are essential in providing quality programs and services. For further information about volunteer opportunities, please contact the Senior Center at 714-895-2878.

Monthly Surplus Government Food Distribution 

When: Second week of each month

Monthly Surplus Government Food Distribution is available the second week of every month. Recipient must qualify as low-income and be a resident of Orange County. Please call the Senior Center for more information.

Friendly Community Voices

Do you or a family member struggle with isolation or loneliness at home? For those older adults who may not be able to get out and socialize at the Westminster Senior Center, there is a new way to engage with your community. The Friendly Voices program allows seniors to sign up to receive a friendly chat with a Senior Center staff or volunteer a few times a week.

Medical Services

When: By Appointment

HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program) is available by appointment to assist seniors with questions related to their health insurance. Call for an appointment at 714-895-2878.

 

Mobility Lending Equipment Program

The Westminster Senior Center is able to lend mobility equipment to older adults on a short term basis to help support their mobility needs, during a recovery period, or until you can be connected with a permanent solution for your needs. Equipment options include walkers, rollators, wheelchairs, transport chairs, and crutches. Donations are accepted.

Diabetes Support Group - APHN  (Adult Public Health Nursing) Services

When: 1st Wednesday of every month · 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.

This is a group to help someone that has been diagnosed with diabetes or has a family member or a loved one with the diagnosis. The support group is a way to find help, tips and tools for managing diabetes.

April 9th - Diabetes Health Care Visits with your Doctor

May 7th - Monitoring Diabetes
