Overview

The City Council is the legislative body for the City of Westminster. It is comprised of five Westminster residents who are elected for a four-year term. As a general law, the City Council is responsible for establishing laws and policies which guide Westminster’s development and provide guidance on issues related to the overall quality of life within the City. The City Council also serves as the Westminster Housing Authority and the Successor Agency to the Westminster Redevelopment Agency.

Westminster City Council meetings are regularly held at 6 PM on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. The City Council Chambers are located at 8200 Westminster Boulevard. Meeting dates are subject to change based on holidays and other events.  Refer to the City calendar for upcoming meeting dates.
